Open Boarders Immigration Consultants had the privilege of being invited as VIP’s to attend the South Africa International Industrial Expo & China (South Africa) International Trade Expo, held at the Sandton Convention Centre, from the 30th of August to the 1st of September 2023.
On the first day of the Expo, the inauguration ceremony was attended to by representative’s from Sponsors who introduced their companies and what they do in detail. As the Expo took place just after the BRICS conference, many of the speakers used the platform to discuss how bissinese in South Africa and China could benefit from collaborating. South African youths were encouraged to play their part in building the country’s economy and collaborate with Chinese businesses.
The event hosted a variety of companies, mainly in the manufacturing sector and as such the majority of the exhibitors’ products were made from concept to end product. Our team obtained valuable knowledge about the Chinese manufacturing processes.
We engaged with the exhibitors, asked questions and learn about all the products. We also got the opportunity to introduce Open Boarders Immigration and what we do. Most of the exhibitors where very excited about our services. This is mainly because most of the exhibitors are looking to expand in South Africa and open warehouses in which they will be sending expats in the country to come and train South Africans on their products.
We also got to meet and engage with business owners who were also attending the Expo. They shared their experiences with us on how difficult it had been to help most of their employees with obtaining visas. They were excited to know that Open Boarders Immigration Consultants can assist them and offload the stress of visa applications.
In addition to the exhibitor’s from China, there were also South African companies showcasing their products. Amongst the South Africa Exhibitor’s was the Randburg Chamber of Commerce & Industry, the Gauteng Department of Economic Development and the Youth business Chain. Their main purpose was to showcase to the South African audience, the benefits of collaboration by presenting how each of their departments work hard to develop small businesses into enterprises that are able to export on a Global scale.
The 3 days were a great experience and a half, the talent that Chinese exhibitors have is beyond imagination.
As our team comprises of South African youths, they were inspired, and are looking forward to collaborating with the various companies not only from China, but locally.
